Life Cycle of Plants Science Unit

This complete, plant life cycle science unit centers around an engaging 9-lesson teaching Power Point using captivating photos your students will love. Ideal for first, second and third grade, students learning the stages of the life cycle, plant needs, parts of a plant and seed, germination, chlorophyll, photosynthesis, pollination, plant adaptations, and seed dispersal. Content-rich, this unit is loaded with over 20 activities and science experiments, writing activities, plus a culminating foldable flower booklet.

Students write about science as they complete the flower booklet that is also ideal for assessment. Inside, students complete short writing tasks by defining, labeling, and explaining the processes and stages of the life cycle after each lesson. The included reference charts and bulletin board set are designed to support students in working independently on the activities for the flower booklet.

The detailed, 12-day lesson plan can easily be shortened or extended depending on the time you have.
