This Alexander Writing Craft Includes:
This flexible resource includes six different types of writing prompts. Also included are detailed teacher’s notes filled with additional ideas and activities for prewriting and extension activities. I’ve also added organizers and planning pages for each type of writing. Plus, two versions of the craft (happy and sad Alexander and happy boy/girl craft for personal narratives), as well as extra publishing paper and blank planning pages for you or your students to add your own transition words and prompts.
Use the personal narratives craft during your book study or save it for your narrative writing unit. Each publishing page comes in two styles of handwriting lines.
Choose the prompts you wish to use. Or use them all by dividing your class into groups, assigning a prompt, or letting them choose! It’s a great way to showcase all the different writing genres you’ve taught during the year!
