Butterfly Books for 2nd Grade

Butterflies are such a great example to use to demonstrate a variety of science concepts taught in 2nd grade. My students are always fascinated to learn about the butterfly’s life cycle during our Life Cycles science unit! Butterflies are also pollinators, so they’re relevant when we’re discussing plants in science class as well.

I love to have some awesome butterfly books for 2nd grade on hand during these science units to use as read alouds and for students to read independently. I’ve compiled this list of my top must-have butterfly books for 2nd grade. I hope you find them as useful as I do!
