A creative reading passage allows students to identify both simple sentences and compound sentences in context while reading a “Grammar Gazette” news article written by a kid reporter. Students apply their learning in a writing activity with three different formats for easy differentiation. On Friday students are assessed with a short, easy-to-grade quiz.
